Played with a pick. All pickup volume knobs at full. For the solo i cut down one knob and used the other one to increase the volume in every note, creating a volume swell - Gear Sound: Added a good amount of high end (treble), a little of mid frequencies and a good amount of bass too. I tried to get a similar tone with old strings and my bass. I know it's not perfect For the solo added an octave pedal or whammy, overdrive, a little flanger and delay. What if funk/fusion drummer Dennis Chambers was the drummer for Tool? (Don’t tell Danny Carey.) Dennis is known for his legendary backbeat and funky style. So of course we felt mischievous and we dared him to try playing “Schism”, one of Tool’s biggest songs. It’s full of odd time signatures, quick, complex changes and unexpected accents, and Dennis had never heard it before. But we didn’t ask him to learn the real drum parts: we wanted to see what he’d come up with on his own after hearing the song once. While you’ll hear the song with drums in this video, Dennis was actually listening to a drumless track. “This is not me,” he warned us as he listened through the track, but “in my younger days, this would’ve been up my alley!” How will Dennis Chambers not only learn a song he’s never heard before, but in a style he’s unfamiliar with – and in odd time, at that? Since the song doesn’t have a drum track, he listens for two things: the style and the time signature. Watch Dennis’ playthrough where he gives it his own spin. It’s solid, it’s groovy, and there’s some unexpected footwork later on. It’s amazing how much a song can change with a different approach on the drums. You’ve never heard Schism played like this before! If you like Dennis Chambers, he has an entire 12-lesson course on funk drumming for Drumeo members. Join today and learn from the best! Understanding the early theological struggles of the Christian church is vital to understanding history. This series will focus on Rome and the political and religious forces that drove various interpretations of Christ and his teachings - and a push towards orthodoxy. Our story begins and focuses on Rome. One of the toughest questions early Christians had to face was Mosaic Law. Did the laws of Moses still apply, or did the teachings of Jesus Christ replace them? The issue of circumcision became a focal point for this conflict. In an era without surgical anaesthetic or procedures, asking grown men to have their foreskins removed was a painful process. Paul the Apostle argued vehemently against the practice because he believed that Christianity needed to be accessible to Romans, the gentiles, and he knew that requirements like circumcision would vastly reduce the number of people willing to convert. Gradually, Judaizing forces were pushed out of mainstream Christianity as the religion began to convert more Romans. But it soon faced another crisis: what was the nature of Christ? This issue would come up time and time again, but one of the earliest conflicts over it came from the Docetists. They believed Christ was a being of pure spirit, and that it would denigrate his godhood to consider him a human man. But in the Epistles, John argued fervently against that idea, saying that Christians must believe in Christ "in the flesh" in order for his sacrifices to be meaningful. A bishop named Ignatius of Antioch embraced that idea when facing a conviction to be thrown to lions in the Colossuem, believing that his martyrdom echoed Christ's and he was proud to give his body to prove his faith. Then the 3rd Century Crisis hit, and the Roman government fell apart. The Church stepped in, and many people believed its prophesies of apocalypse had come to pass in this era. Although the government eventually recovered thanks to men like Aurelian and Diocletian, conversion rates had gone up. But civil war rocked the empire again, and it came down to the Battle of the Milvian Bridge. Constantine, one of the claimants for the throne, supposedly had a vision telling him to paint "Chi Rho" (the Greek letters for Christ) on his soldiers' shields. He did so, and won the day. In gratitude he converted to Christianity and eventually brought most of the empire with him, with the population going from about 10% Christian to 50% Christian followers. ♫ Get the intro music here! 🤍 *Music by Demetori: 🤍 ♫ Get the outro music here! 🤍 *Music by Sean and Dean Kiner: 🤍

The eastern and western parts of the church have had a long history of unity and disunity as Christianity spread around the world. Historians speak of an East-West Schism as a singular event that took place in the year 1054. But there was more behind this single event that led to the East-West Schism of the church. #TheGreatSchism Subscribe to get more videos from Theology Academy 🤍 Church History: 🤍 Moral Theology: 🤍 Biblical Studies - Old Testament: 🤍 Historical Jesus: 🤍 Church Fathers: 🤍 #churchHistory #TheologyAcademy #icons #Gnostics #ChurchFathers #biblicalarchaeology #church #churchfathers #biblicalarchaeology #jesus #christian #gospel #theology #bible #Crusades #jerusalema #history #newtestamentchristianchurch #oldtestament #freewill #FullSeries #Introduction #biblicalarchaeology –––––––––––––––– Follow us: Visit our Website: 🤍 #instagram : 🤍 #twitter : 🤍 #facebook : 🤍

A thousands years ago, the Churches of the East and West split in two when their respective leaders excommunicated each other. A cover of the most popular Tool song. A song most of us got sick of after 10000 replays, but we love it anyway. I like how 99% of all tabs (except for CoverSolutions) get the intro wrong. I'm talking about starting with a 3 on the D string during the first chord at 0:12. But anyway, I didn't really changed that much when you put it up to the CoverSolution tab. Some minor changes really. Some important information that nobody is going to read. After hundreds of years of increasing division between the Latin Church led by the Pope in Rome and the Eastern. Greek church led by the Byzantine Emperor and the Patriarch of Constantinople, the Great Schism in 1054 marks the beginning of the formal division between what will be known as the Roman Catholic Church and the Eastern Orthodox Church.
